ONANCOCK, Va. – Enjoy two days of holiday festivities in the charming, small town of Onancock!
Some of the festivities include the popular kayaking reindeer, Santa’s arrival by boat, a music festival, and a hometown parade.
There are two days of fun:
Saturday, December 10
10:45 a.m. Onancock Wharf – Kayaking reindeer, indigenous to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, launch their boats and paddle out to guide Santa and his boat safety to Shore. Santa will then listen to the Christmas wishes of children. “Elfie” and the Sugar Plum Fairy will entertain families as they wait on the dock.
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Holiday Open House at Ker Place – Historic house decorated for the holidays, including photos with Santa!
1 – 5 p.m. Christmas Homes Tour. Private homes decorated for the holidays.
2 – 6 p.m. Historic Cokesbury Church, 75 Market Street – Orchestras, youth chorales, choirs and bands will entertain throughout the day.
Sunday, December 11
5 p.m. Onancock’s Hometown Christmas Parade – Fire Trucks, floats and bands make their way down Market Street.
