Police make arrest after several Bertie County break-ins

Kirklin Williams was arrested for two counts of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. – Police have arrested a man after several reports of break-ins.

The break-ins started in the beginning of November, according to Bertie County Sheriff John Holley. There were reports of items being taken out of yards, vehicle break-ins and 14 home break-ins.

On December 5, the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a break-in at a home on Black Rock Road.

Deputies determined that the suspect, Kirklin Williams, was driving a stolen white Nissan Sentra. The vehicle was later located on the Connarista Road in Kelford, North Carolina.

Williams was arrested for two counts of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entereing.

He was given a $30,000 secured bond.
