HAMPTON, Va. – A pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Hampton on Tuesday morning has died as a result of his injuries.
Hampton Police say they were called to 60th Street and Copeland Drive at 5:48 a.m.
Officers arrived to find the victim, 42-year-old Derrvas Jermaine Wynn, lying in the roadway. He was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries at approximately 6 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
A preliminary investigation reveals the driver was traveling westbound on 60th Street when he hit Wynn.
