YORK COUNTY, Va. – Authorities are investigating what caused multiple brush fires on Fort Eustis Boulevard on Monday.
One fire extended into the city of Newport News.
Units from both Newport News and York County worked to extinguish the fires, with assistance from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, Newport News Park, Newport News Police, and Hampton and Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Fire Departments.
