Pope Francis celebrates Ash Wednesday from the Roman Basilicas of Sant’Anselmo and Santa Sabina on the Aventine hill in Rome.
The Ash Wednesday celebrations begin in the Basilica of Sant’Anselmo. Pope Francis will then walk the steep road to the Basilica of Santa Sabina to deliver a speech on Lent.
