SUFFOLK, Va. – Authorities believe a man who sexually assaulted a clerk at 7-Eleven in Norfolk and robbed the store struck another business.

Suffolk Police sent out pictures of the man wanted for a robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at the Circle K gas station located on the 800 block of West Washington Street in downtown Suffolk.

The call came in at around 1 a.m. and there were no reports of any injuries.

This comes after Norfolk Police were called to the 7-Eleven at 100 W. 21st Street on Saturday at around 5 a.m.

Suffolk Police said they believe this is the same suspect.

At the 7-Eleven, authorities said he pulled a handgun and robbed the business of cash, then forced the clerk into a back room where he sexually assaulted her.

According to Suffolk Police, upon preliminary investigation it was found that an unknown black male entered the business, displayed a handgun and took an undetermined amount of currency from a register.

The subject is further described as approximately 25 years old, 150 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, jacket, a beanie, glasses, and black shoes with a white stripe.

Detectives ask that anyone who may recognize the man or know anything about this incident to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
