HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday morning at the Old Point National Bank branch in the 1st block of W. Mellen Street.
Calls reporting the bank robbery were received by Hampton dispatchers at 9:37 a.m.
The investigation revealed that a man entered the bank, passed a note to the teller demanding money and after receiving the money, he fled from the bank.
The man is described as a black male between 20 and 25-years-old. He was approximately 5’9″ tall and 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, white white and silver shorts.
