PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Detectives are investigating after a man’s body was discovered, according to a Portsmouth Police Department spokesperson.
On Saturday just after 8 a.m., police received a call about a body that was found in the water near Douglas Road and Bayview Boulevard.
Officials say the body will be taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of the man’s death. The man’s identity has not been released.
Detectives are working to determine more information about the incident.
