NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Newport News Fire Department Technical Rescue Team helped get a crew member off the USNS Pless Saturday afternoon.
Officials say the crew member fell into a hole in the ship, one deck down. Photos show the patient being lifted by a crane from the docked ship.
The patient was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There’s no word on the extent of the patient’s injuries.
