NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A man accidentally fired a gun while getting off of an HRT bus in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue, according to police.
Newport News dispatchers received a call about shots fired on May 16 around 11:18 a.m.
Police say after the gun fired, he got off the bus and ran away from the area.
There were no reported injuries.
