HAMPTON, Va. – A man has been charged after dumping dead fish, causing a brief swimming advisory on Tuesday.
Officials previously said the man was a commercial fisherman and they believed he dumped the dead fish into the water.
The fish were seen washed up at Buckroe Beach and Fort Monroe Beach.
On Thursday a Virginia Marine Resources official said George Trice IV was charged with one count of impairing use of state waters by dumping.
