WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) worker on the Jamestow-Scotland Ferry helped rescued a baby Osprey that was sent into the James River by a gust of wind on Tuesday.

The crew of the ferry said they saw the chick get tossed into a barrier before being sent into the water.

VDOT says that the young osprey is getting the hang of flying after being rescued.
