NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Chief Steve Drew of the Newport News Police Department is making remarks during Thursday’s community engagement walk in the city.
The remarks are being made at the Lexington Commons, located at 15534 Old Courthouse Road.
The NNPD did not say what Drew will be speaking about.
Chief Drew took over as the police chief for Newport News officially on July 2. Before joining NNPD, Drew was the deputy chief of patrol operations and business services for the Richmond Police Department. He spent 24 years with the department.
