PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue that left a man injured Monday evening.
The call came in at 6 p.m.
Police say the man was shot in the lower body. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is said to be non-life threatening injuries.
There is no further information.
