SUSSEX Co., Va. – An inmate stabbed a corrections officer at Sussex I State Prison Wednesday afternoon, a spokesperson with the Virginia Department of Corrections told News 3.
The spokesperson said the officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer was released from the hospital Wednesday evening.
