Photos: Old Dominion earns 14-seed in NCAA men’s basketball tournament

NORFOLK, Va. – For the first time since 2011, the Old Dominion men’s basketball team will play in the NCAA Tournament.

Old Dominion University men’s basketball earned a No. 14 seed and will face No. 3 seed Purdue in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 21 in Hartford, Conn. at 9:50 pm ET. The game will be broadcast on TBS.

Old Dominion (26-8) won the Conference USA Championship with a 62-56 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday night at the Star in Frisco.

Purdue is 23-9 on the year and won a share of the Big 10 regular season championship.

Should ODU upset the Boilermakers, the Monarchs face either (6) Villanova, the defending national champion, or (11) St. Mary’s Saturday.
