Newport News Police mourning loss of retired K9

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A retired K9 officer with the Newport News Police Department passed away Tuesday, according to the department’s Twitter.

K9 Havoc served the City of Newport News for more than 11 years. His partner, MPO Wright, purchased him for $1 after his retirement.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired K9 Havoc. Havoc crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today with his former partner/best friend, MPO Wright by his side.
