WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Thousands of Dominion Energy customers were without power across James City County Monday.
Dominion Energy’s Outage Map showed that there were initially more than 4,000.
As of 8:45 p.m., Bonita Harris with Dominion Energy said power had been restored to all but about 400 people. Just before 9:30 p.m., she said power had been to restored to everyone.
Harris said the cause of the outage was due to a damaged underground cable and a failed switch.
Crews are still working to repair the damaged equipment.
