Humberto weakens to extratropical cyclone

Humberto has weakened to an extratropical cyclone.

As of 11 p.m. Thursday, the post-tropical cyclone is located about 525 miles south-southwest of Cape Race, Newfoundland, Canada. It is moving toward the north-northeast near 20 mph .

A slower north-northeastward motion is expected tonight and Friday. A turn toward the east-northeast is expected to commence by Friday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 100 mph with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is expected during the next couple of days.
