HOUSTON – During Game 2 of the 2019 World Series, Houston Astros pitcher and former ODU ace Justin Verlander passed John Smoltz to become the leader in postseason strikeouts.
He earned his 200th strikeout in the second inning of Wednesday night’s game after striking out outfielder Victor Robles.
