PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue that left a man injured Monday night.
The call came in at 7:55 p.m.
Officials told News 3 the man was shot in his torso. His injuries are said to be serious.
Medics took the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
There is no further information.
