With so much to do in our area around the holidays, you don’t have to wait until the weekend gets here to do something fun. That’s why News 3 is helping you plan with three things you can do.

Paw Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure

This one is great if you have kids at home! Paw Patrol Live - The Great Pirate Adventure, is sailing into Hampton Roads this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you can head to Chrysler Hall to see the Paw Patrol crew in action. Both shows start at 6 p.m. and tickets start at $20.

Virginia Symphony Orchestra Holiday Brass Concert

The bold sounds of the Virginia Symphony brass section are ringing in the holidays across the seven cities and beyond. Their holiday brass concert kicks off in Williamsburg this Wednesday. They head to the Chesapeake Conference Center on Thursday and to the Historic Palace Theatre in Cape Charles on Saturday.

Norfolk Admirals vs. Toledo Walleye

The Norfolk Admirals are back in town for the second week in a row! This Friday and Saturday, they take on the Toledo Walleye at the Norfolk Scope Arena. This is one of your last chances to see the Admirals in action this month. Their last game of 2022 is Friday, Dec. 23. Tickets cost $15 a person.

Bayport Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach

If you're looking for some holiday fun this week, every night, lights will illuminate the Virginia Beach boardwalk. The Bayport Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach are back. The drive-thru event starts at 5:30 p.m., seven days a week until New Year’s Day. Tickets vary depending on the day you go but start at $25 per car.

"Deck the Hall" Holiday Lights

You can also bask in the holly jolly season by heading over to Chesapeake! City hall is all lit up for the "Deck the Hall" celebration. This is a drive-thru event and will be open every day until Jan. 2. And it's completely free.

Suffolk Festival of Lights

If you're over in Suffolk, the city's Festival of Lights at Sleepy Hole Park is now open. From the comfort of your car-- watch 35,000 light bulbs illuminate five different holiday themes throughout the park. The celebration runs every day until Dec. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Dominion Energy’s “Garden of Lights”

Dominion Energy's “Garden of Lights” is back at Norfolk’s Botanical Garden. For $15 to $20 a person, you can walk through a sea of holiday lights. The event will happen every evening until New Year’s Day.

Ballet Virginia’s “The Nutcracker”

One traditional way to celebrate the month of December is by going to see The Nutcracker. Ballet Virginia’s performance of The Nutcracker is coming to the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts this weekend. There are shows running Friday through Sunday. Tickets start at $25.

Holi-Rays 2022

Oh fish-mas tree! How about a night at the Virginia Aquarium to put you in the holiday spirit? The Aquarium and Marine Science Center is transforming into a winter wonderland for two nights only this weekend. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., you and the family can hang out with Santa Claus and his sea creature friends. Tickets to the Holi-Rays event cost $26, and $13 if you are a member.

Bayport Credit Union “Surf n Santa” 5-miler

What says holly and jolly more than running under the lights at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk? The “Surf n Santa” 5-miler is back at the Oceanfront this Saturday! The race kicks off at 4:30 p.m. at 19th Street by the convention center. There will also be a holiday party to follow. It's $70 to register.

Santa, Smores, and More!

If you head to the Hunt Club Farm in Virginia Beach, you can hang out with Santa Claus and his elves for the day. This Saturday and Sunday, the farm is hosting it's “Santa, Smores, and More!” event from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. For $18, you can roast smores, take a picture with Saint Nick and visit the petting farm. You can reserve a spot online now. We are told there are limited spaces available.

“Fa La La Land” at Chesapeake City Hall

This Saturday is your last chance to walk around Chesapeake’s interactive outdoor wonderland near city hall. At “Fa La La Land,” you'll find carolers, face painting, food trucks and a life size snow globe! It's completely free and runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Chrysler Bake Off

Ready, set, bake! This Sunday, the Chrysler Museum of Art is hosting a holiday bake off. While it's too late to join the competition, all are welcome to check out the beautiful creations inspired by artwork at the museum. While you're there, you can explore the galleries and help create the museum's winter wonderland with paper snowflakes.
