CHESAPEAKE, Va. - National supply chain issues amid the COVID-19 pandemic are hitting close to home. It has impacted the Chesapeake community tradition during the Lenten season: Fish Fry Fridays.

For those who don't know, during Lent, many Catholics and other Christian groups abstain from eating meat on Fridays and turning to fish, with local churches and schools serving up fish fry dinners as a fundraising effort.

Setting the gold standard in fish and chips, you can join Metro Diner for Fish Fry Fridays this Lent with a variety of new and classic dishes featuring wild caught North Atlantic cod that is beer battered and fried to crispy perfection.

Available now through April 8, you can enjoy the following dishes for dine-in and take-out:

  • New! Seafood Platter: Wild caught North Atlantic cod filet and shrimp, beer battered and to fried crispy perfection served with creamy tartar sauce, coleslaw and seasoned fries.
  • New! Fried Shrimp Platter: 10 shrimp, beer battered and fried to crispy perfection served with cocktail sauce, coleslaw and seasoned fries.
