WTKR News 3 is partnering with Southern Bank for a Shred-a-Thon this Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at Southern Bank on Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach.

The Shred-a-Thon offers a secure to ensure that personal and sensitive documents do not fall into the wrong hands.
Attendees can also help combat summer hunger for local kids. During the Shred-a-Thon, you can also drop off your 'Beach Bags,' with items like canned food, fruit cups, granola bars, and school supplies.
The Beach Bags program is designed to provide Virginia Beach Public School students with meals and healthy snacks throughout the summer break.
