HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults and is twice as common in men as in women. Nearly a third of patients won’t be diagnosed until cancer reaches advanced stages. A new combination treatment is now available for newly-diagnosed patients with kidney cancer that has spread. Dr. Elizabeth Kessler joins us to discuss the importance of this first-line treatment option for advanced kidney cancer patients and Bryan Lewis of KidneyCAN will share insights on the experiences of people living with advanced kidney cancer.
