First Warning Forecast

AM clouds, PM sunshine and warmer temps to end the weekend...

Our chance of rain this morning has ended. Dense clouds and areas of fog continue for our coastal Virginia communities while sunshine has already broken out inland and along the Outer Banks. Those of us stuck in the clouds will see clouds gradually thin through midday and skies will become mostly sunny later this afternoon. Winds will pick up later today out of the southwest between 10 and 20 mph with gusts to 25+. It’ll be noticeably warmer today! Temperatures will soar to the upper 70s to low 80s which is about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. Rain chances will stay slim from midday to the afternoon. A spotty shower/storm will be possible after 5pm, but most of the activity will be to our north. We’ll keep a small chance of rain overnight tonight through early Monday with lows in the low 50s.

Monday will start much like today with clouds and the chance of rain. Highs Monday will be much cooler and in the mid 60s.

Tuesday and Wednesday are shaping up to be the prettiest days of the week with a mix of sun and clouds both days. Highs will warm back to near 70 Tuesday and into the upper 70s Wednesday. Our next rain chance will be late Wednesday night through Thursday.
