Happy weekend! Our Saturday will start off cloudy. Showers and storms will be possible during the late morning to lunchtime hour with heavy rain and gusty winds. A stronger storm or two will be possible with winds as high as 60 mph, especially in northeast North Carolina. Rain chances will end by the afternoon and the sunshine will return to finish the day. Even after the rain has ended, it'll stay windy today with northwest winds between 10 and 20 mph. Highs today will be in the low 60s.
Sunday will be the pick of the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper 60s. Most of Sunday will be dry but another storm system will move in late, leading to increasing clouds after sunset and the chance of rain.
That same system will be responsible for a rainy Monday but the sunshine will return Tuesday with warming highs back to the upper 60s.
