First Warning Forecast:
AM Sun, PM Clouds today, tracking widespread rain and storms Monday...
Today will be a beautiful spring day. Highs will be warmer and in the low 70s. Expect wall-to-wall sunshine this morning to midday, before clouds increase across the area after 2pm. Rain chances this afternoon will remain spotty, with better rain chances arriving after the sun goes down.
Tonight will be cloudy with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms after 11pm. One or two storms could produce winds up to 60mph, with the greatest chance being in northeast North Carolina.
Monday will be quite the washout. From sunrise to sunset, showers/storms will be on and off and even heavy at times. Widespread severe weather is not likely but one or two storms could produce 60 mph wind gusts. Due to the rain and clouds, highs will only be around 60.
The sunshine breaks out again Tuesday before a chance of rain late in the day. Highs will be warmer and in the low 70s.
Our next soggy stretch will be Thursday and Friday.
