First Warning Forecast: Near record-breaking warmth and the threat of storms

Meteorologist Maddie Kirker's FIrst Warning Forecast:

Tracking a huge swing in temperatures and more soggy weather…

Clear skies will give way to showers late tonight as a system skirts to the north of the area. Lows temperatures will be in the low 50s.

Thursday will feature scattered showers to start. Rain chances end and clouds decrease during the afternoon as high temperatures soar to the upper 70s.

Even warmer Friday as highs will warm to the low and mid 80s, almost 25 degrees above normal for this time of year. Winds will ramp up on Friday with gusts to near 30 mph.

A cold front will move through on Saturday, bringing in another round of scattered showers and a big cool down. Highs will drop to the mid 60s on Saturday and to the upper 40s on Sunday.
