First Warning Forecast:

On and off showers again today and a little warmer…

We’re waking up to scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms (OBX.) This first round of rain will move out by 9am this morning and give us a chance to dry out (briefly) by lunchtime. We may even sneak in a few peaks of sunshine by midday before shower and storm chances will return. Rain and storm chances will be highest late this afternoon to early evening for our northern communities across peninsulas and eastern shore. High temperatures today will be a step warmer and in the mid 60s.

Yet again, showers will be possible overnight tonight to early Thursday morning. Lows will be in the upper 40s.

Sunshine will return on Thursday with clearing skies. We will take another small step warmer to the mid to upper 60s. Highs will warm to near 70 on Friday. We will start with sunshine Friday morning, but clouds will build and showers will return with a cold front Friday afternoon to evening.

Saturday will start cloudy with increasing sunshine during the afternoon. It’ll be noticeably cooler, below average with highs in the upper 50s.

Mother’s Day is looking gorgeous! If the forecast holds we’ll enjoy mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60s.
