SUFFOLK, Va. — One person has died after a two-vehicle crash in the area of Gates Road and Corinth Chapel Road Tuesday night.
Dispatchers received the call of the crash in the rural Holland Borough at 10:02 p.m.
One person was declared dead on scene. Their name will not be released until their next of kin have been notified.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel gave two other people emergency medical assessment and treatment and ground transported them to local hospitals. These victims' injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
The road will be closed for an extended period of time while police investigate the cause of the crash. Suffolk Public Works will place detour signs at Pineview Road and Gates Road.
