NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Newport News Police Department is investigating a shooting in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Randolph Road that left one person dead and another person injured Tuesday night.
The call came in at 10:22 p.m.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Micah Dixon.
Police said the other man who was taken to the hospital is 23-years-old and appears to have a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
