14-year-old arrested, charged for threatening to bomb Accomack Co. schools

ACCOMACK CO. — A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with threatening to bomb two local schools, the Accomack County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.

Just before 12:30 p.m., the sheriff's office received a report of a bomb threat at Nandua Middle School and Nandua High School.

After an investigation, officials arrested a 14-year-old, who was charged with two counts of threat to bomb or burn a building. The teen was taken to the Norfolk Detention Center, where their bond was denied.

Virginia State Police, the Onley Police Department, the Onancock Police Department and the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office assisted the Accomack County Sheriff's Office in this investigation.
