17,873 coronavirus cases reported in Virginia, 660 deaths

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.

According to their website, there are now 17,873 confirmed coronavirus cases, 798 probable cases, 2,627 people hospitalized and 660 coronavirus related deaths. The case numbers are up by 894 since Saturday and deaths are up by 53.

A total of 119,065 people in Virginia have now been tested.

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Sunday, there are 948 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 465 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending.385 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.

193 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 589 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,950 in the state - that's 20% usage.

2,497 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
