2 men arrested in connection with string of Norfolk business robberies

NORFOLK, Va. – Two men were arrested in connection with a recent string of commercial robberies in the City of Norfolk.

Between December 16 and 17, Norfolk Police responded to three businesses for reports of a man entering the store with a gun and demanding money. Robberies were reported at the ABC Store at 2301 Colley Avenue, the Family Dollar at 2328 E. Princess Anne Road and the Family Dollar at 618 E. Little Creek Road, police said.

While responding to the third incident, officers apprehended 40-year-old Curtis Harmon and 57-year-old Lawrence Land.

Harmon was charged with three counts each of robbery, conspiracy, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and unlawfully wearing a mask. Land was charged with one count of robbery and conspiracy.

Both men are currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
