Two Powerball tickets bought in Hampton Roads each won $150,000 in a Wednesday, January 6 drawing, according to the Virginia Lottery.
According to the Virginia Lottery, the winning tickets were bought at the Wawa located at 301 East Mercury Boulevard in Hampton and the Tinee Giant located at 1777 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Both tickets initially won $50,000, but because the players purchased Power Play, their winnings were tripled.
Neither ticket has been claimed yet.
The Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots continue to grow, the Virginia Lottery said. The Powerball jackpot has reached $470 million, and the Mega Millions jackpot is at an estimated $490 million.
The next drawing will be held Friday, January 8.
