2 seriously injured in Portsmouth shooting

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a double shooting in the 2500 block of Evergreen Place that left two men injured Friday evening.

The call came in around 5:17 p.m.

Police told News 3 one of the men was shot in his upper body, while the other was shot in his lower body.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment for their injuries, which are said to be serious.

As of Monday, July 13, authorities still do not know of a motive, and they have not identified any suspects.
