JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. - State Police are investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred Tuesday morning on Interstate 64.
Police responded to the crash on Interstate 64 at the 228 mile marker around 9:39 a.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, 20-year-old Taalibah Malikah Gray, of Portsmouth, was driving eastbound in a 2005 Nissan Altima, when she lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree.
Police say she was not wearing her seat-belt at the time of impact and was killed instantly.
No further details have been released at this time.
