NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a homicide after a 22-year-old man died from a shooting on September 14.
According to police, at 4:16 p.m., officers responded to the 13300 block of Warwick Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old Darius Brown suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, according to police.
In October Phillip Evan Jones was taken into custody and was charged with 2nd degree Murder and Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
