HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is asking for the public's help with identifying a suspect in connection with a Wednesday afternoon shooting.
According to police, at approximately 12:06 p.m., dispatch received a call in reference to shots fired in the 100 block of Spanish Trail.
While officers were investigating, a 29-year-old man walked into a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators later determined the two incidents were related.
The involved parties have been identified and are cooperating with investigators, but the motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
