HAMPTON, Va. - Three adults are left injured after a shooting in Hampton Saturday evening.

Police say they are investigating a shooting in the 1300 Block of Peabody after a call came in at 6:52 p.m., for reports of multiple shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found several vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. Shortly after, several people began arriving at local hospitals seeking treatment for gunshot wounds police believed to be sustained during this shooting.

According to the initial investigation, there was a dispute near the road which escalated to a shooting. A total of four adults, three men and one woman, are being treated for injuries. Two of the victims are in critical condition and two of the victims, including the woman, are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say it appears that the suspects and the victims are known to each other and were arguing loudly prior to the incident. They do not know the nature of the relationship between the participants at this time.

If you or anyone you know has information that will assist police, they are encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 757–727–6111 or the Crime Line at 1–888-LOCK-U-UP. If a Crime Line tip results in an arrest, the caller may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.00.
