NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Officials received a call around 1:05 a.m., in regards to a shooting in the 4500 block of Baughman Court.
When police arrived on scene, they located a 34-year-old Hampton man who appeared to have life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
He was transported by medics to a local hospital for further treatment, police say.
There is no detailed suspect information at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
