CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A 17-year-old accused of robbery was shot and killed as a result of the crime and four other teenagers are now charged with his death, but it’s unclear if any of them pulled the trigger.
They're facing multiple charges after a Wednesday afternoon shooting.
The shooting happened at around 4:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of Gum Tree Court. When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy and an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police say the man was shot while being robbed, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police say a 17-year-old accused in the robbery was also shot and later died at the hospital.
According to the Chesapeake Police Department, the following people were arrested in connection with this incident:
- 19-year-old Christian Lineback of Portsmouth was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding.
- 18-year-old Gabreil Crittenden of Portsmouth was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding.
- 18-year-old Titus Davidson of Portsmouth was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding.
- A 17-year-old female was also arrested and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to use a firearm in commission of a felony.
