ISLE OF WIGHT Co., Va. - A two vehicle crash in Isle of Wight County resulted in a single fatality on Tuesday.
Around 2:11 p.m., the Virginia State Police were called upon to investigate a two vehicle accident on Route 460, west of Route 646, in Windsor.
A 2017 International tractor trailer was blocking the roadway while attempting to back up into a residential driveway on Route 460.
The driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, 95-year-old Rufus Murry Wilson, was traveling eastbound on Route 460 and struck the tractor trailer on its side. Wilson died upon impact.
Alcohol nor speed were a contributing factor, reports say.
The case is under review by the Commonwealth Attorney of Isle of Wight, and no charges are placed at this time.
