CHESAPEAKE, Va. - One adult and three children were displaced after a fire caused significant damage to their Deep Creek home.
According to the Chesapeake Fire Department, the call came in at 7:28 a.m. for a fire in the 2000 block of Locks Landing Crescent. When crews from Fire Station 8 arrived two minutes later, they found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home.
The fire was brought under control at 7:40 a.m.
The home's four residents evacuated the home before the fire department arrived, and no injuries were reported. The Red Cross is assisting the family with lodging arrangements.
The fire's cause remains under investigation.
