Altercation leads to shots being fired at Franklin Bowling Alley

FRANKLIN, Va. – Police are investigating after shots were fired at a large bowling alley event on October 25.

Around 1 a.m., Franklin police officers were at the Franklin Bowling Alley. They said there was a large event being held at the bowling alley with an estimated crowd of over 200 people in attendance.

Officers were there to locate a wanted subject. While they were taking the suspect to police headquarters, a report of multiple shots being fired at the bowling alley was received.

An investigation revealed that an altercation had taken place inside the bowling facility and had spilled into the parking lot. Police said multiple shots were fired in the parking lot from numerous locations.

As officers arrived on the scene the individuals fled.

This incident is under investigation. No reports of injuries have been received, however police said there was minor property damage discovered during the investigation.
