NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The AMBER Alert for a 4-year-old Newport News girl who was believed to have been abducted Wednesday evening has been canceled after Newport News Police say she was found safe.
State Police initially said Autumn Williams was believed to be in extreme danger. She was last seen near Ayrshire Way around 6:09 p.m. when she was reported missing.
Autumn is believed to have been abducted by Eliejah Chalid Hasani Williams, who Newport News Police say is now in custody.
Eliejah was last seen driving a silver 2000 Nissan Xterra with Virginia registration VGK-5046.
The investigation remains onging.
