Family of 3 displaced after Chesapeake early morning house fire

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A Chesapeake family was displaced from their home after an early-Saturday morning house fire in the 1900 block of Lisbon Road.

According to fire officials, the call came in at 6:23 a.m. Saturday for the fire in the Western Branch section of the city. When crews arrived five minutes later, they found smoke coming from the garage of a one-story home.

The fire was called under control at 6:47 a.m., and no injuries were reported. The home's three occupants safely evacuated the home before firefighters arrived, and will be assisted with lodging arrangements.

The fire's cause remains under investigation.
