CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Chesapeake Police are investigating a shooting in the 1700 block of Hoover Avenue that left a male victim dead Tuesday night.
Police received a call about an injured person at 9:11 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found that the victim, a male, had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no suspect information to report at this time.
On Wednesday, police identified the victim as 19-year-old X'zavier Roberts of Norfolk.
The investigation is in the early stages.
Police are actively investigating this incident to determine what led to the shooting.
