Chincoteague postpones trick-or-treating until Nov. 1

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. — The Town of Chincoteague is postponing trick-or-treating.

According to a recent post on the town's Facebook page, trick-or-treating will happen from 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 instead of on Halloween.

The town's post says the delay is due to weather and details parking and driving restrictions that carry over to Wednesday.
